Hey everybody! Thanks for stopping by Michele’s Southern Yum Kitchen! I am a writer, cook, wife and mother, who grew up in Florida, lived in Louisiana for a spell and now resides in the great state of Texas! Over the last thirty years I have experienced some of the best cooks in these areas, all of whom taught me a thing or two about the art of southern cooking! 

For as long as I can remember, I have been cooking, catering, and entertaining people. The one thing I’ve learned over the years is that food is so much more than just a meal. 
Great food should always inspire. It is, after all, the catalyst for why we do what we do.
